Bell donated by British Collector

Bell donated by former Cuddalore British Collector's family

This Century-old-Bell was donated by former Cuddalore British Collector's family during the year 1907 on the eve of his daughter has got recovered from eye sight problem. Still this Bell is functioning very well and the sound may hear upto 3 kms. while ringing at the time of poojas performed in the Temple.This Bell was specially designed at London by utilizing pure Iron rod materials as used for Railway Track so that it will never be rusted even for so many years.

Koil Devasthanam released a Book about the Thala Varalaru in which the Page No.23 is extracted hereunder which narrates about the importance of this Century Old Bell as follows:
